In 1882, Mr John Drury, looking to find a way to supply cleaning products for the growing textile trade industry, founded John Drury & Co. Ltd. His vision and determination resulted in developing and building what is now a soap milling base manufacturing plant in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Over time, John Drury & Co. Ltd expanded its milling base product range and began to look for new market opportunities. The descendant owner-manager team of John Drury purchased a toilet soap manufacturing company, M. Bedforth & Sons in 1965. The goal then, as it is today, was to provide customers with superior value for money by making quality soap tailored to their needs. Ultimately, the alignment between the two companies’ milling base and toilet soap manufacturing plants provides heightened production flexibility and increased quality and control.
Our years of manufacturing expertise have brought about a strong understanding of quality soap production. The companies remain committed to offering customers value for money and to ensure this, continue to invest in its manufacturing plants to create further efficiency, heightened quality control, and wider product ranges such as liquid soaps.
Today, our client base includes major UK retailers, multinational companies worldwide and many hotel and gift suppliers throughout the world.

We welcome enquiries from companies seeking soap milling base, flakes and for contract manufacture of private label personal care products.
